Community Helper Visit

No need to be alarmed!

To culminate our unit on community helpers, the students had an opportunity to tour many different emergency and community vehicles up close.  In addition, the students we able to speak to the workers directly  about how they help to either keep us safe or provide service.

Our First Ever Field Day!

Mr. Brady did amazing job organizing a very exclusive pre-k field day.   We also really enjoyed meeting his brother, Mr. Brady.    Check out these kids.  What a great day!

We also had great parachute fun.

CHICKS!

Sorry for the delay in getting these pictures to you.  Hopefully you have all seen the chick updates on the district website (www.oess.org).   Take a peek at our chick, Sebastian.   He hatched when we were talking about the letter S.

The chicks all live at Buttermilk Farm now.  Bye-bye Sebastian!  We really enjoyed having you at MLT!!!

Feeling Appreciated!

Thank you all so much for participating in teacher appreciation week.  It was a GREAT week and I appreciate YOU, the parents and families that support our program.

Have You Heard?

Hopefully you know about Mrs. Murray's webcam and have been watching the eggs hatch chicks at home.

Our students have visited the hatchery a number of times to see the eggs in the incubator.  They saw them start to crack and now we have some new additions to our school.

Mrs. Murray has assigned each class the task of naming a chick. 

Any ideas?

Our Trip To Maple View Farm

We saw signs of spring all over town when we visited the farm earlier this week.  Our visit to see our neighbors, Mr. & Mrs. Clark, at Maple View Farm was fun for everyone.  See for yourself...

Ms. Winkle picked us up with the BIG bus which was so very exciting for our friends (they didn't mind that it was less than a half mile ride).

Did I mention how excited the children were?

We saw Jacob sheep 

There were also very cute black rabbits.

Then we saw the beautiful horses.

Pretty cool right?

Next there was the wagon ride.
